We want to express our appreciation for your generosity in support of the Dine Out for Japan. This was held from March 7 to March 11, 2012. 36 Restaurants in the New York area has participated. A total of $19,070.02 was raised for JAA's Japan Disaster Relief Fund. We hope that we can do this event again in next year. Please stay tuned!
A year after the severest disaster in Japan's recent history, the Tōhoku region is far from recovered. The proceeds from this Dine Out for Japan – Restaurant Week initiative will be donated to the JAA Japan Disaster Relief Fund that will help the area get back on its feet.
This year, we currently have over 35 NYC restaurants participating, including Ippudo NY, Kyotofu, Hatsuhana, and Sushiden. Some of these restaurants will have a promotion on dishes featuring Japanese ingredients or introduce new menus specifically created for Dine Out for Japan.
